|Who can enroll in UWA’s Continuing Education classes?
Advertised classes are open to everyone. Unless otherwise specified, class content is designed for adult students over the age of 18. Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Students who are at least 16 years of age may register with parental approval.
Are there prerequisites for any classes?
Prerequisites such as a high school diploma or GED are not required to take credit-free classes. Check course descriptions for prerequisites that apply to certain courses.
How do I register for classes?
Select the course(s) you wish to attend, click on “Add to Shopping Cart,” and proceed through checkout.
We accept VISA and MasterCard only.
When should I register for class?
Unless otherwise noted, registration is open until up until the class begins.
What about textbooks?

Is there out-of-state tuition?
There is no additional charge for enrolling students who are not Alabama residents.
How do I create my profile?
For first-time users, click Log In from the left menu. Use the Create New Student Profile option to create your own username, password and profile. This step is required.
I’ve attended UWA before, is my login information the same as the one I used at UWA in the past?
No. You must create a new login for Continuing Education.
How do I update my profile?
You may edit or update your student profile at any time. After signing in, access the link titled “My Profile” to change any of the information. Click “Edit” at the top or bottom of the page. You may then edit any of your profile fields. When you are finished with your edits, scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Submit”.
Can I purchase gift cards for classes?
Gift cards are available for purchase online for a dollar amount that can be applied to a class of the recipient’s choice. Simply click the Buy Gift Card option at the top of the page for more information.
